We give you fresh ideas, design that is stylish as well as practical, along with expert knowledge of plants and materials.
Our intelligent approach to maximising the use of space can shed new light on what a garden can become and how the space can enhance your lifestyle. We incorporate our unique appreciation of what happens inside your home and translate that to your garden.
Verde is a one-stop shop for all your garden landscaping needs: from initial design consultation to full landscape build and management on site.
We can discuss the whole process with you and work out which of our services would be appropriate for your needs and budget. As nobody likes surprises, we are keen to agree fees at the start of a project.

The Brief
We start with a full site analysis of your garden and take a detailed brief from you.We discuss different ideas about how the garden could work best for you and special features you may like to include. We look at the inside of your house, to ensure we understand how you live and how we can make the most of the new outside space. We consider the available light and views not only to enhance the new garden but also the existing house.
We provide a written brief that forms the basis of the concept and overall style of your new garden.
From here you have a choice of services:
Design
You may simply require some help in ‘styling’ your new garden, or you may prefer our complete design service. At this stage you can choose from:
- A sketch design and mood board to effectively communicate our new ideas at a very reasonable price. This is a cost-effective solution for those who are planning to build the garden themselves.
- Drawings of your garden in greater detail, including visuals, mood boards and lighting ideas, with samples of the materials, plants and colours included in our proposal.
Build
Once we agree the design, we can put together a working drawings package that is suitable for us to give to specialist landscape contractors for pricing. This would include detailed layouts, sections and lighting plans, to ensure we have fully conveyed the complete design to the landscape contractors.
The working drawings package would also include a specification that would detail site restrictions, quantities, named suppliers and payment schedules, to ensure the contractor is pricing appropriate materials and understands how we intend to work. The build can be undertaken by our recommended specialist contractors, or put out to tender for a range of quotes.
Planting
We can produce a full planting plan of the garden, either for you to plant up yourself, or for us to source, select and finally set out and plant.
Site management
We endeavor to ensure that our drawings are interpreted correctly by the contractor and that you are offered the least disruption possible during the site process. After many years of managing design projects, we have realised that this is an area where we can make a big difference to the end result. Managing and selecting appropriate contractors is a skill in itself. This service is charged at a percentage cost of the overall build.
